The Most Amazing Bartenders!

April 9th SOSO held it's fifth So Sophisticated event at CUSTOM HOUSE. This night was the first time we introduced a little bit different of a concept. Custom House has three restaurants and the SOSO members were invited to dine before joining in the fun at the bar with the rest of the guests. The Custom House bartenders were the best I have encountered as they were outrageously fun and silly with a lot of spunk and showmanship.

RUBY as usual, was nothing less than brilliant on the 25th of March. The party continued on afterwards with some of the dedicated SOSO members at Alexandra's apartment located close by. Her hospitality just doesn't cease to amaze me... Thanks for a wonderful and cozy evening at RUBY and at your private home Alexandra!

We look forward to the next event on April 9th at CUSTOM HOUSE. This is the first time SOSO members are invited to join in and have dinner reservations as part of the evenings offerings aside from the usual good cocktail going and socializing at the bar.

RUBY March 25th

For those of you who don't know RUBY, it's a little hard to find but worth the effort. They are masters at mixology and superb service in a bar that feels like someone's beautiful old luxurious apartment with a homey atmosphere.. like visiting friends at a private party. We've got a fabulous cocktail for Tuesday: 'So Tokyo'

A gin based long drink with lashings of white peach puree, lychee liqueur, citrus juices and organic ginger with a Thai basil garnish. Its fresh & tangy and exclusively served with Ruby-love for the SOSO suspects.

"You'll love it as much as we do, I know it." Rasmus-Owner, who will be in on Tuesday and have a few himself and looks forward to seeing you all.


There's nothing like the first time... we loved RUBY and RUBY loved us! So back to RUBY we go.

What a great way to celebrate the original SOSO members and venue that helped make So Sophisticated so successful in the first place.

For those of you that missed out on the first ever delightful So Sophisticated evening back in January at RUBY, here is your chance to see where it all began!

We and RUBY are looking forward to welcoming the first original warm and friendly crowd back, including the new friends we've made along the way... plus some totally new faces!

What's lined up?

We last had a cozy relaxed evening at Honey Ryder Lounge. Many were plagued by the flu and when evening came we were hit by a snow storm. Surprise Denmark in March! Regardless, we had a good turn out at Honey Ryder Lounge and it was, as usual a very enjoyable evening with Friends and SOSO members.

The membership is growing every day with over 700 members but the venues are small, accommodating only 80 to 200 guests. So this is the first month SOSO is starting to host two events a month to give more people the opportunity to join in the fun.

March 25th we are back where it all began at RUBY!

OUR BAR - Wednesday, April 23rd
Hotel FRONT - Thursday, May 8th
BAR ROUGE - Tuesday, May 27th (Guest appearance by my sister Erika from the States)

In the works for June is Ocean Club, The Office and Grill Bar...

We'll see what we end up with but you can be sure Wednesday, June 25th will be extra special as it's Alexandra Nilsson's Birthday! Alexandra (AKA "Mascot", "Professional Hostess" & "Style Queen") has been my partner in crime helping to meet and greet SOSO members at every So Sophisticated event. Without her beautiful and charming presence, not to mention abundance of smiles, SOSO just wouldn't be the same.

The summer should bring some special events as we would like to utilize the outdoor venues. Halvandet in the daytime sun by the water. Honey Ryder Lounge's Tikki themed terrace where you'll be drinking out of coconuts and lava cups and at the same time have an opportunity to cool off in the Absolut Ice Bar. Bar Rouge will have their outdoor terrace open and ready as well.

Remember, the day after each event is held, the next So Sophisticated event is announced and SOSO sends out the invitations.

Happy SOSO Members at a So Sophisticated event held at Honey Ryder Lounge March 4th.

SOSO is...

A brand and acronym of So Sophisticated. SOSO is a facebook group where members can join to receive invitations to So Sophisticated. So Sophisticated is a monthly cocktail social club in Copenhagen held on weekdays at a different stylish and upscale location each time.

SOSO is open to anyone on facebook in the Denmark network. The members make up a "sophisticated" mixed crowd of Danes and internationals, students and professionals, young and young at heart, beautiful people, strange people and fun people. SOSO has new members joining every day and in three short months a network of almost 1000 people has been attained.

The one thing the group has in common is that everyone comes with a good attitude and ready to have fun. We socialize, network, flirt, chit chat and make new friends expanding our social circle. People invite their friends and meet their friends' friends at So Sophisticated. People even have the opportunity to meet their facebook friends live! Even if one comes alone, they are sure to be comfortable and have met lots of nice friendly people by the end of the evening.

Then of course there is the great cocktails! SOSO is held at some of the hottest bars and lounges in town with the best bartenders in the industry. The group gets people out and about town to places they wouldn't normally have a good occasion to go visit. The venues are always thrilled to host the So Sophisticated events... and why not? We are fabulous!
